Loretta Ehrhart, BS., AQ

Loretta Ehrhart, and her husband Ken, earned their aquanaut credentials and PADI Underwater Habitat Specialty Certifications spending a day underwater at the Jules Undersea Lodge.  

Loretta and Ken have over fifteen years of experience diving and providing professional supervision of scuba divers; holding twelve SCUBA certifications, including professional Divemaster and Assistant Instructor certifications from the Professional Association of Diving Instructors. During their diving careers they have participated in the training of numerous divers, from introductory to professional levels; and participated in trips exploring an undersea island with Cordell Expeditions, free diving with wild dolphins in the Bahamas and kayaking with whales in Alaska.

In addition to diving and kayaking, Loretta and Ken’s outdoor adventures include backpacking and alpine mountaineering, with ascents of some fifty peaks including Mt. Rainier, Shasta and Baker; traverses of New York’s State Range and New Hampshire’s Presidential Range; and a week-long exploration in Alaska’s Chilkat Range.

Loretta Ehrhart is currently the Director of Product Development for Excelligence Learning Corporation (www.excelligence.com), a developer, manufacturer and retailer of educational products and learning toys for schools, day cares and parents that are sold through multiple brands including Discount School Supplies.  Previously Loretta was the Director of Product Development and a Senior Buyer for KB Toys.  She was also a buyer for The Nature Company.  (More at www.ehrhart.net/employment.htm). 

Loretta Ehrhart was a US Peace Corps volunteer for over two years in Costa Rica; she was an AFS exchange student for a year in Germany; has traveled extensively in Asia; and currently resides with her husband and son, Rainier, in Carmel, California.  Loretta holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley.
